The Saddle Hotel & Grill is a small friendly family run business. Please dont come here looking for the Ritz as that is not what we do here, we only look to offer reasonably priced food and accommodation with a homely atmosphere and good friendly service. Our rooms are not suites but are cosy and comfortable all the same and we try our very best to make your stay with us as enjoyable as it can be. Some of our rooms are bigger than other some containing Bath/Showers and some just showers. All rooms will be let on a first come first serve basis. We are open all year round excluding Christmas day and serve food daily from 12-2pm and 6-9pm. We have a huge selection of delicious home cooked food on offer in our cosy lounges and restaurants. Recommended by the Good pub guide and Which? guide to country pubs for excellent food and very reasonable prices too. We are also NOT a fast food restaurant, so at busy times eg. weekends, holidays when we are extremely busy, please be prepared to wait as all our meals are cooked to order and will be served in the order they are taken. Located in the sea side village of Alnmouth, in the heart of the beautiful Northumbrian countryside. Only 4 miles from the A1 and situated in an ideal location to visit all the northeast has to offer. Within a ten mile radius you will find Alnwick Castle and their famous gardens, Warkworth Castle and some of the most amazing coast line in England, plus so much more. We have just finished putting in a small residents car park as well to accommodate our guests, situated at the back of the hotel. We are more a restaurant than a pub. As we are NOT a pub and never will be and do not really cater for this trade we just leave the people who like a drink or two to the many other actual pubs with their late licenses. Our license only allows us to serve drinks up until 11pm mondays to saturdays and 10.30 on sundays. The days are long enough as it is being a family run business. 
Farm Cottage, a 5 Star Gold Award winning property, is a deceptive name for a large stone built house oozing with character, which has been occupied by the owner's family for approximately 200 years. Situated in the village of Thropton, 2 miles west of Rothbury and on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, it is ideally positioned to explore the county's many attractions such as the Alnwick Garden, the stunning coastline with its amazing castles, Hadrian's Wall and the National Trust's 'jewel in the crown' Cragside House and Gardens. An award-winning 18C coaching inn is situated in the village offering excellent food. 
Carraw Bed and Breakfast, a Four Star Gold Guest House, situated on the foundations of Hadrian's Wall is set in wonderful open countryside offering lovely south facing views of Northumberland National Park and the North Pennines Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The accommodation, as featured in the Guardian, consists of four south facing first floor en-suite letting rooms Chesters, Brocolitia, Housesteads and Vindolanda, offering a range of options including two family rooms. All rooms offer en-suite facilities with modern efficient showers (and some with baths), bathrobes, hairdryers, tea and coffee making facilities with full hospitality trays, remote control colour televisions (with freeview, DVD Player and IPod docking facilities) and a supply of toiletries just in case things get forgotten. Carraw Bed and Breakfast are also participants in the National Walkers and Cyclist Welcome Scheme offering secure cycle storage and laundry/drying facilities. There is a guest lounge with Satellite TV, DVD/video player, a selection of DVD’s and videos, games, books, maps and guides, or you may prefer to relax and enjoy the garden and make the most of the setting sun. We are fully licensed; offering a range of locally produced bottled beers and lagers, a range of wines, champagne for that special occasion, as well as a selection of spirits. 
We are a small family run business. The saddle is set in the lovely coastal village of Alnmouth. Our Bed & Breakfast is situated on the right hand side on the main street just before the Church. We have 8 recently refurbished bedrooms. All have televisions with built in digital tv, dvd player and ipod dock, Central heating, Tea/coffee making facilities, hairdryer and telephone. Along with the rooms we have also just added a residents lounge. With a large television and a small selection of drinks and snacks. We also have a small residents car park which can be accessed by taking the first right immediately after the building. Breakfast consists of the usual hot and cold selections and we also cater for vegetarians and gluton free diets if informed when booking your stay. This served from 8.30am-9.15 everyday. If you require an earlier or later breakfast please let us know. As usual we still offer our homemade Sunday Lunches, served every Sunday from 12pm - 2pm.
